Two Teachers Voted Best of Texoma
Congratulations to Sherman ISD staff who were recently named Best of Texoma finalists and winners by the Herald Democrat Newspaper! The recognitions were determined by nominations from readers and open online voting.

Kim Sales, kindergarten teacher at Sory Elementary, was voted as the winner of the Elementary Teacher category. Sales has taught in Sherman ISD for 20 years, and is praised for her incredible student and parent connections and effective teaching. Her campus leaders share that students leave Sales' class at the end of the year reading above grade-level.

Cicily Stone, sixth grade science teacher at Piner Middle School, was voted as the Best Secondary Teacher. Stone has taught in Sherman ISD for five years, and brings science to life for her students by presenting creative, hands-on experiences with each lesson. Her campus leaders commend her talent and love for teaching and her students.
Miranda Henley, third grade teacher at Fairview Elementary, was nominated as a finalist in the Elementary Teacher category.
Lori Hartman, principal at Sory Elementary, was nominated as a finalist in the Best Principal category.
